Sentiments from David Baram:
Ann Wall who recently passed away was the Democratic Registrar of Voters in Bloomfield for over 15 years. During her tenure, she was considered one of the most knowledgeable and experienced Registrars in Connecticut. Her opinions were often sought by other Registrars throughout the State.
Ann was a loyal Democrat who strictly interpreted and followed the laws which made her a role model who displayed her professionalism in everything that she did. Additionally, she was a loyal member of the Bloomfield Democratic Town Committee for over 20 years, and could always be counted on to provide her support.
Ann was fortunate to serve as our Registrar for many years with her dear friend Barbara Reisner, who was the Republican Registrar. Together they created a welcoming and consumer friendly Registrar of Voters Office which has been emulated over the years following Ann's service. She conducted registration sessions at various senior citizen housing complexes and maintained numerous registration opportunities throughout the year.
Ann also guided and oversaw Bloomfield's change from six voting districts to five districts. This was considered a major change, but she and Barbara managed the transition with skill and care.
Ann Wall was also involved in Bloomfield as an active member of Sacred Heart Church, served on the Board of Interfaith Homes, and established an Educational Trust Foundation to provide scholarships.
We remember Ann with respect and appreciation for her public service and commitment to Bloomfield. We express our gratitude for her dedication and professionalism and as a loyal member of the Bloomfield DTC.”
